iRis AG
iRis AG is a commercial 3D puzzle game for the iPhone. It was an extremely important project for me. It was my first ever paid programming position and also my first real-world game project. I was contracted by Rogue Pirate Ninja Interactive, LLC primarily to help fix bugs in their 3D engine. It is important to note that I did not design this game, I joined the project after development had already begun however I did contribute design feedback with some of it making the final cut (specifically, a colour-blind mode).
Product Description
This text is taken from the official iRis AG website:
iRis AG is a connect-4 style color-matching puzzle game with a large circular game board. Unlike anything seen before instead of guiding blocks as they fall the entire game board is rotated to catch the right color in the right spot. Gameplay gets intense as blocks fall faster and in larger configurations as you advance through the various stages. Don’t miss eliminating entire piles by strategically placing blocks, earning you large combo points as you put your name on the global leaderboard for the entire world to see.
Customizable options including colorblind mode, alternating or fixed theme selection, and even settings to take advantage of the extra graphics power on the iPhone® 3GS. Immersive gameplay with two game modes and three difficulty levels to replay and master, along with combos, wild-card blocks, and more. Beautiful 3D graphics using customized mobile engine technology. Three gorgeous themes, animated menus and backgrounds, and all in full 3D. Captivating sound that puts you in the game. Listen to the included soundtrack, or play your own music. You can even mute whilst playing. Submit your scores online to compete with your friends and even the world. Check your scores in-game or online to see where the competition is at. Save your game for later. With auto-save you won’t miss the high score just because you had to take a call or respond to a text. Made by gamers for… everyone! We’re an Indie game company with a passion for making games everyone can enjoy.

- Essential project management skills.
- Personal time management skills, breaking tasks into manageable chunks.
